This was super easy to make and inexpensive too! I got all the pieces from Michael’s for about $5. There are some many things you can do with this like adding a photo instead of the chalkboard to make it a picture frame or adding some of the twine to hang on a nail on the wall. You can even change the heart decal to a star or something else you might like.
You will need:
Hot glue gun
Horseshoe shaped wooden cut out
Twine or thin rope
Wooden heart decal
First, wrap your horseshoe with the rope. You can glue it on the backside so it stays put.
Tip: when you get to the middle of the horse shoe on the bottom things start to bunch up just continue going in the other direct or if it gets a little spacey that’s fine because you will be covering it anyway
Next it’s time to glue your decal on. I was considering using star shaped cork cut outs and turn it into a cork board. Which I may still do to another one.
Then, glue your chalkboard on the back side of the horse. Make sure you only use a small boarder because you will be able to see it on the other side and don’t go all the way around like I did the first time, not realizing, the horseshoe is open on the top.
And that’s it! 3 steps, all done. Now deiced whether you want to add a hook and nail for the wall or just add some more rope to the top and hang with a nail. You can also add magnets and make it a note board for your fridge.
