Here on the East Coast, once it hits 90 degrees that's it. Its over. Unless I am going to be submerged in water for the entire day, I'd rather be indoors. That means it's like a rainy day because the kids will be indoors as well. So, what to do on a day like today? Bake? Craft? Clean? How about an impromptu family game day! I set this up the other night and was hesitant because of my kids ages: 6, 6, 3.5, 2 and 5 months. I thought they would be too young to enjoy this but I wanted to give it a go anyway and boy was I surprised. It was so much fun! I put out some snacks like chips and dip and baked some brownies. Here is the post on our game night! Have fun and stay cool! :)
Well, it’s that time of year, again. June. Woo Hoo it’s summertime! That means the kids are out (or almost out) of school and that others will be having their very last summer free from impeding school days in September. Basically, its a time to let loose, have fun and if your on the East Coast like me, enjoy this beautiful weather while it lasts. But also we should keep in mind that kids tend to forget some of what they learned in school this year over the break. And well for others, you may not be able to imagine them beginning Kindergarten and taking that first academic step. They may just not have the skills they need to have a smooth transition into the BIG K. To help, I am creating some free lesson plans, curriculum outlines, worksheets and summer fun educational activities for your little ones! Stay tuned and feel free to leave a comment about what you would like to see!
